Slate is the right word: 3M 2080 M217 Slate Blue Metallic in Matte is a greyed-down blue with a cool metallic flake, closer to wet stone than to a sports car blue. Overcast light makes it nearly grey; sunlight pulls the blue back out and adds a soft sparkle. It is calm and expensive-looking rather than loud.<\/p>\n
The color suits modern SUVs, estate cars and electric sedans where a restrained palette matches the design. Flush door handles and smooth bumpers are where 2080 cast film shows its conformability, with air-release adhesive making large flat panels easy to lay down. Clean removal protects the resale value. Our teams in California and Belgium install it.<\/p>\n
