3M 2080 SB12 Shadow Black is a Structured film with a brushed-style texture in a deep black, giving the surface a linear grain like brushed metal that has been blacked out. Light hits the grain in fine streaks; in shade it reads as a dark matte black. It is subtle from a distance and technical up close.<\/p>\n
Shadow Black is popular on roofs, hoods, pillars and accents, and it works as a full wrap on trucks or performance cars that want a dark, mechanical look. Around curves the 2080 cast base conforms well, though the texture should run in one direction across panels, which our installers plan for. Both of our studios, California and Belgium, apply it.<\/p>\n
