Sun brings out the sparkle and a slightly lighter tone; shade pushes it toward a deep steel blue. Hot-spot reflections a gloss blue would throw are gone with the Matte surface.
Blue metallic mattes look at home on sports sedans, Subarus and M cars, and they photograph well because the flake gives the camera something to find.
