Compared with the standard matte black, 3M 2080 M22 Deep Black in Matte is darker and flatter, with less of a grey haze in bright sun. From a few meters it looks like the car has been dipped in soot; up close the surface is smooth and even, with a very low sheen. It suits aggressive builds where the body should read as a silhouette.
Owners often pick Deep Black so gloss black trim or carbon pieces stand clearly apart from the body. The 2080 film conforms around diffusers and wide fenders, and the air-release adhesive keeps large flat hoods and roofs free of trapped air. Our installers in California and Belgium fit it regularly.
