This letter serves to confirm the high quality of workmanship that Peter Van Tilborg and his “2Wrap” team carried out on the 85m Director Motor Yacht ‘Aquila’ in 2018.

I first met Peter in Los Angeles Marina del Rey when we were searching for a solution to protect our delicate interior furnishings which continued to get scratched and damaged.

I had already researched a lot about the protective film wrapping and we had actually tried to apply some our self to exterior bard tops and varnish cap rails as a test.

Peter came on board to look at the interior project and we gave him the job as a test to see his workmanship and also to see how the wrap would look and hold up to the conditions . During this time I asked Peter about using the clear PPF on our exterior varnished cap rails which need continual maintenance to keep them to a high standard this requires annual sanding and varnishing. So we applied a small test piece to see how it would hold up.

12 months later and 2 crossings from Los Angeles to the Med and back the PPF help up amazingly. We were so impressed with the results we asked Peter to quote on wrapping the entire yachts cap rails and varnished exterior tables. Peter and his team travelled to Genoa Italy and carried out all of the work in one week.

During this time we asked Peter about wrapping our wheel house to bring the finish up to the new guest interior standard. We tried a few test pieces of wrap on the different woods and leather in the wheelhouse. On the crossing back to LA we found no issues and contracted Peter to wrap the entire wheel house with various materials and colours to great effect and mush to the owners liking.

We continued to see the ease and benefit of the wrap and PPF and continued to apply in various locations. The most outstanding result we noticed was the clear PPF on the blue hull and rub rails. The rails had barely any gloss left. We had quotes to get this section painted and when we included scaffolding, time out of service etc we decided against it. Luckily Peter could install the wrap from the deck with minimal down time even working around the guests on board on occasions to apply the PPF and save us considerable cost and time.

I highly recommend Peter and the 2Wrap team to any yacht to complete any type of interior or exterior PPF and wrapping applications. I look forward to working with him again in the near future.
