Some cars only exist once. This McLaren 720S — a one-off specification with its signature 168 detail — came to our Westlake Village studio with a clear mission: protect the factory silver paintwork completely, and give the car a presence that matches how rare it actually is. The answer was a full matte PPF build: matte paint protection film over every painted panel, finished with custom orange contour graphics and reworked wheels.
The brief: protection first, transformation included
The owner wanted the original paint preserved down to the last detail — this is a car where originality matters. But a clear gloss film alone felt like a missed opportunity. Together we chose a matte paint protection film that changes the character of the factory silver: the same color, suddenly with a raw metal look. Protection and presence in a single layer, and fully reversible.
The solution: full matte PPF with custom orange graphics
We wrapped the complete body in Inozetek Matt Paint Protection Film. Matte PPF is self-healing, stone-chip and scratch resistant, and turns the factory silver into a deep matte metal finish without touching the paint underneath. On top of that base, our design team developed custom orange contour-line graphics — a topographic pattern that flows over the hood, doors and rear deck, with the 168 number detail on the rockers.
The wheels complete the concept: the front wheels received orange accents that echo the graphics, while the rear wheels went full matte black for contrast. Every element — design, print, cut and installation — was handled in-house at our Westlake Village studio in about one week, as agreed with the owner.
